I've had a deathhawk for a few years and don't get me wrong, I love it, but any got any ideas on other deathrock hairstyles that include partially shaved heads?

Sure, just modify it like the guitarist of The Naked and The Dead or simply style it in a more interesting manner after growing out some different odd and bits.

Actually uhh, nvm let me get back to you on that I know a few hairstyles but I don't exactly know the name of them quite yet. >.<

anyone got any tips on how to straighten out my sideburns without a straighting iron/relaxing product, I have weird hair... if it's all grown out and brushed its frizzy, but if it's shaved on the sides it's kindof wavy, so sadly my sideburns end up curly and look like crap, any help?

    Why can't you straighten them?

Yeah, to bad people are so ignorant I feel as if only Deathrockers actually know about bands like The Undead and Mourning Noise let alone give them the time of the day.

Oh, because he contributed a lot to the modern design of the Deathhawk?

I've had my Deathhawk for... About four months now...? Idk, but I'm currently waiting for it to grow out since it sadly was originally layered. So yeah, kind of looking forward to when I can put it up correctly. Also, idk, I like Mourning Noise but not the biggest undead fan or misfits fan, but I'll admit Bobby Steele is pretty cool, as for the other person wondering about different hairstyles and what not.. It's really more of a experimental thing if anything, you just have to find new interesting ways to put up your hair or style it... I mean, there really wasn't any specific names for what people did back in the 80's, except for well, the Deathhawk I guess or some non-deathrock related hairstyles.

i would say he contributed to the american death hawk, as bands like 45 Grave and Voodoo Church contributed to the american goth sound. with that said, he probably saw UK goth bands in liner notes with the same haircut and liked the look, but he was definitley one of few people on the east coast to have one of these in the early 80's..check out the death hawk mullet action! haha...

i agree, horror punks don't usually know about the Steve Zing/Bobby Steele bands. they only know about the Misfits and every shitty imitation band of them

Can you get ahold of mousse? Try that on wet hair. It might work to help them dry straight. I've used an iron to straighten my hair before too. It sounds like a weird thing to do and its a little tricky but it totally works in place of a straightener.
