How's the Deathrock scene where you currently live?

Just wondering because there's not really all that much of a scene up here in Washington... 0.o

I at the moment live in a really small town, so it's just me.... and I mean that in that there are no punks or goths, just dumb emos who all look the same and have the same haircuts...

The Tri-Cities is an excellent example of a place where NOBODY knows what goth really is. Mall goths/Baby bats roam about, bogarting and bastardizing the styles of those of us who actually know what we're talking about. It's disheartening, really...

true that, if i lived in CA i'd be taking the bus every weekend to hang out at Release the Bats!

There's one or two people around here who like old stuff like that, but even NYC is pretty dead. I don't see much of anyone when I go out (not that it happens often).

meh, i'm about it here. i live in a college town, so there's a bunch of hipsters. that's about it. i'm not far from pittsburgh, although there's not much going on there that i know of these days. i am, admittedly, a bit out of touch though. if anybody knows of something i'm missing there, please let me know. i occasionally get to drac's ball in philly when i have time and can afford it. i spend most of my time on my own, watching movies, reading books, and listening to music. i'm sure many of you can relate.

yeah i hear that, i spend the majority of my time doing the same, if not having a terrible reoccuring dream of minimum wage slavery. but generally most social atmospheres seem so hopeless and desperate.. i think i'd rather stay at home and listen to Rozz, read some Nietzche, and watch some Outer Limits

about to do our 5th deathrock party in Cincinnati this past year and every time as ruled, we've gotten up to a hundred weirdos to come out at times and that's with playing WHATEVER we want, not just slutty EBM misogynistic bullshit - I can play Shadow Project, SPK, Current 93, newer bands like Bestial Mouths... and people have a great time even if they don't know what the fuck is going on, you treat it like a Halloween party every time and people really dig it...
