Newer Deathrock bands
the deathrock scene is revamping in the underground
i mainly listen to the older stuff (Xmal Deusland, Christian Death, Kommunity FK, 45 Grave, Rudimentary Peni, etc.)
But lately have been checking out newer deathrock bands, pretty amazing stuff!
check out these two deathrock bands:

Haha yeah, it brings a big smile to my face every time a new Deathrock band comes out.. Sadly there hasn't been much newer ones and I already regularly listen to both of these bands. :/

i think a lot of deathrock bands just need better distribution in the underground, i dont want it to become an exploited genre like Horror Punk has become in ways but most deathrock bands seem virtually inaccessible as most record stores dont cary their stuff ...
I hope 13th Moon and Aural Exile put out some vinyl, there is probably less than 100 Deathrock vinyl records that exist! lots more CDs but not much vinyl..
Cinema Strange needs to make LPs too, i think they only put out one EP but i have never seen it before..
regardless as long as people still listen to 45 Grave and Christian Death, i think a good deathrock band will appear every so often..

True, I'm glad its not as exploited like horror punk but.. Idk, theres just not really that much people to talk to this stuff about nowadays because even though you would think that this site would be live and well its just not. I tried contributing to other sites before this one but the fact is that most of them are more Goth oriented and less Deathrock oriented and truth be told Deathrock is still quite a bit different then Goth regardless of what people might say.... Also yeah, I know what you mean I personally find it a bit tricky to find vinyls to add to my collection even with sites like ebay or amazon. Also yeah, Deathrock's something that will probably always be more of a undead subculture that is still living but also partially dead.

I think most people dont understand that deathrock is a subgenre of punk not goth..
But regardless i like both, although goth became commercial in 80's, i am still a huge Skeletal Family/Sisters/Bauhaus fan.
but yeah i know where you are coming from. deathrock is a microscopic subculture, and very misunderstood

I'ma huge fan of Cancerslug, but they're really more horror-punk. Kind of like old Misfits mixed with the Dwarves.
What about Mekrokiev: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFNsyC8ByMM
Shallow Graves (not really new, but not well-known): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJnIK7m2IbM
Euroshima (again, old band, but not really popular): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSEBNNsYpgM

There have been a sh*t-ton of newer bands the last three years or so. I found about most through the Cvlt Nation website and Oliver Sheppard, but have also discovered several from Maximum Rock'n'Roll reviews too. Here's some recent favorites:
Catholic Spit -- creepy theatrical deathrock w/ guitar effects
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7I-TKcaIgY
Midnight Plus One -- post-punk w/ interesting female vocals. from North Carolina
http://midnightplusone.bandcamp.com/
Quailbones -- high-energy post-punk, like Joy Division on speed
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqCyQmtUDP4
White Murder -- sounds like if members of Crass, the Slits and Gang of Four had a side-project band together. they may not look deathrock but this sounds pretty damn close to Fangs on Fur to me.
http://vimeo.com/69602102
Hex on the Beach -- spooky... primitive... morbid... weird... erotic... throbbing music from Australia
http://hexonthebeach.bandcamp.com/tr...re-mountain-ii
Bellicose Minds -- 80s sounding deathrock from Portland, Oregon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0DfrYhEs1U
Masquerade -- similar to Siouxsie & Banshees. from Finland

my band Dreams In Hell made an LP this year http://dreamsinhell.bandcamp.com/
see the record and all its art at https://www.facebook.com/dreamsinhell
The Creature has taken more of a deathrock style this year too https://thecreaturecincinnati.bandca...sematary-songs
and we've got a new band that's gonna start playing out for Samhain this month called No Slave To Tomorrow, it's going further towards a deathrock style than the above ones, gonna record next month most likely
also THEY FEED AT NIGHT from San Diego sounds awesome, I'm gonna do a CD for them soon http://theyfeedatnight.bandcamp.com/
and Nervosas, friends from Columbus who sound a bit like TSOL http://nervosas.bandcamp.com/album/s-t

ONE LAST CARESS of Fresno, CA. Established in 2005. Published an album in 2012. "Est In Obscura Tempus MMV-MMXII"
We started with having in mind our love of the darkness; all things spooky, morbid, macabre, death, and putting it into punk.
I was heavily influenced by Rozz Williams, Dinah Cancer, Patrik Mata, Moe Adame and Glenn Danzig.
For fans of Christian Death, 45 Grave, Burning Image, and Samhain. I am the lead vocalist, songwriter, and founder.
I am very glad that many bands such as Catholic Spit have caught the attention of listeners,
we appeared on the "DUG UP! New Tales From The Grave" and "Spooky Sounds From The Underground" compilations
alongside the likes of BLUE CROSS, CATHOLIC SPIT, HORROR VACUI, BELL TOWER BATS, RESIDUAL DREAMS, and THE DARKLINGS.
It would be an honor to be featured on the CVLT Nation website, and included in articles where they talk about the latest Deathrock.
